Are Colon Cleansers Safe To Use For Weight Loss 0

Posted on September 07, 2009 by Collin De Ruyck

Many people are confused by the conflicting information that is out there about colon cleansing. The main concern is whether or not colon cleansing is safe or not. In no uncertain terms not only is colon cleansing safe it is vitally important that you cleanse your colon.

The colon almost never stops working it is like a machine that runs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It is an incredibly efficient organ, but over time it can be clogged by food that could not be used or excreted from the body. As it clogs up it is less efficient and this has an impact on the entire body.

The colon absorbs nutrients and vitamins from the food that has been broken down by the stomach. It absorbs everything the body needs and excretes the rest in feces. Over time some food clings to the walls of the colon. There is now a barrier between the digested food and the wall of the colon. This means that nutrients are no longer able to be absorbed by the body.

Removing this barrier will allow the colon to function properly again. There are many herbal based supplements that are extremely efficient in removing this plaque like build up. They are all natural and sold in many health food stores as well as at online retailers.

The most effective and safest method of colon cleansing is to take an all natural herbal based colon cleanse supplement. You can find them online and they are very reasonably priced. The systems have been proven to be effective and are all natural so there is no reason to worry about taking them.

The fact that colon cleansing is safe is not in dispute by any reputable person. Hundreds of thousands of people have colon cleansed with no ill effects being reported. In fact unless you are pregnant or have a pre-existing medical condition there is no documented reason not to undergo a colon cleansing program.

Getting Rid Of Pimples Fast With These Little Tips 0

Posted on September 04, 2009 by Nikki Davila

Pimples are a common yet desperate problem for millions of people worldwide. Sufferers are constantly seeking and trying numerous methods and solutions for getting rid of pimples, and many have experienced repeated frustrations in the process. Although I am not inclined to try desperate measures, I prefer testing a few different approaches if nothing has worked. In this article, I will share with you some little tips that have helped me towards taming my outbursts of pimples.

Before you go any further, you need to be clear that these tips along will not give you complete acne cure. However, if you use them to aid your other treatment plan, you will see better and faster results.

Tip 1. Always Keep Your Hands Clean

Do you realize how many times you will be touching your face with hands each day? Do you scratch, rub your jaw line or chin, or rest your head in your hands? Many of us do this, and this is exactly why you need to keep your hands clean. We can have oil and dirt on our hands from whatever objects we have touched. When the oil and dirt go into your pores, they will clog your pores and lead your skin to acne problems.

Tip 2. Use A Clay Mask Daily

The dirt and excessive oil in your skin is often the primary reason for you to get pimples. Clay masks can help you combat these problems with its oil-removing and exfoliating effects. They can also trap bacteria and dead skin cells and thereby return you with a truly clean skin.

Tip 3. Toothpaste As A Secret Weapon

This may sound weird, but toothpaste does provide some relief to inflammations. Although this technique works wonders for some people, it does not work for sensitive skin or extremely serious pimple or acne conditions and may only work temporarily for a few others. What you can do is to apply a small pea sized amount of toothpaste to the affected areas for about 15-20 minutes, and then gently remove with lukewarm water. Remember not to scrub too hard.

As said, these small tips do work and provide relief for pimple sufferers, and sometimes the result is quite quick and highly visible. However, as you may probably have realized, in essence, all of these techniques are just putting a patch over an underlying cause. The real answer to getting rid of pimples is of course to fight them at the root.

If you wish to know more about a completely natural, fast and cost effective treatment for acne which deals with the root of the problem once and for all, check out our review of the best teenager and adult acne treatment. Many people are confused by the conflicting information that is out there about colon cleansing. The main concern is whether or not colon cleansing is safe or not. In no uncertain terms not only is colon cleansing safe it is vitally important that you cleanse your colon.

The first benefit is one that many people will appreciate; weight loss. It is a fact that cleaning the colon will assist you in losing weight. A clean colon is able to process food much more quickly which allows the metabolism to speed up. It is important to note that colon cleansing alone will not result in significant weight loss. You must still follow a sensible diet and exercise regularly.

The equipment used in a hydrotherapy clinic is not disposable which means it is used on more than one person. This is not a problem if it sterilized properly, but if a mistake is made it can have serious consequences to your health.

The most effective and safest method of colon cleansing is to take an all natural herbal based colon cleanse supplement. You can find them online and they are very reasonably priced. The systems have been proven to be effective and are all natural so there is no reason to worry about taking them.

As you can see herbal based colon cleansers are a very safe colon cleansing solution. Do not worry about any dangers associated with this as there have been no proven dangers to colon cleansing with an herbal supplement.

How Better Breathing Can Effect Overall Health 0

Posted on September 03, 2009 by Graham McKenzie

We should think of our lung health as being as important as exercising other parts of our bodies for maximum performance. Breathing exercises done on a regular basis can help to increase your overall respiratory process and have benefits for our health. Increased lung capacity will improve performance in everyday activities as well as in sports and will have overall health benefits as well.

Fortunately, a person’s lung capacity and respiratory health can be improved. Those who have difficulty breathing in particular should take the time to speak with their doctor or with a respiratory therapist about their lungs. In speaking with such a professional, you may find it helpful to use the information in this article as a guideline.

When you are breathing correctly, your cells and tissues are oxygenated and receiving the energy they require for their optimal performance needs. This will improve your concentration, reduce stress, increase your metabolism, and strengthen your immune system when you breathe properly, improving your overall health and performance. Most importantly, when you exhale your body rids itself of the majority – around seventy percent – of the toxins your body produces.

Persons in poor respiratory health, on the other hand, may find themselves gasping or panting, and are frequently short of breath. There are many health problems that can result from this lack of proper oxygenation. Inadequate breathing may cause dizziness, inability to focus, and increased stress levels. Among other side effects, those who suffer from difficulties in breathing may experience sore muscles, digestive problems, lowered lung capacity, and feelings of tightness. Their bodies, as explained above, are not able to properly dispose of toxins.

The muscles that control breathing are contained in twelve sets, and just like your other muscles, they can become fatigued and strained. When this happens, your breathing pattern becomes inefficient. Athletes suffer from this by pushing themselves to their limits, and so does anyone else who overexerts themselves, even doing everyday things. It isn’t just the out of breath and overexerted conditions you should concern yourself with, however, since these muscles control all types of breathing.

Breathing treatments have been vastly improved by modern technology. There are now devices on the market that can be used several times per day to exercise one?s respiratory function. These exercises involve inhaling and exhaling. Keeping the respiratory muscles in good shape is a key to good respiratory function which, in turn, will have a beneficial effect on other body systems.

Breathing is central to all concerns about performance, whether for athletes looking to go that extra mile or for seniors who’d like to climb the stairs without getting out of breath. If you have concerns about your respiratory health and strength, consult with a physician or respiratory therapist. But even those who are not having problems can improve their general performance and overall health through better breathing techniques. And fortunately, the technology exists to help you along.

Many people often ask me Which Foods Cause Eczema? The truth is foods to cause eczema, but they can cause eczema symptoms and flare-ups.

Which Foods Cause Eczema

There is a strong connection between eczema and food allergies. Many people dont know which foods cause eczema symptoms. Everyday common foods like wheat, milk, eggs, and seafood, along with preservatives can cause eczema symptoms.

What makes it so difficult to pin point the offending food is that eczema skin symptoms may not appear until 24-48 hours after eating.

How To Treat Eczema

Here are some tips to treat eczema by simply avoiding allergy triggering foods. Pick your most favorite food. Sometimes the food you crave the most, is the one you may have an allergic reaction to. Eliminate that favorite food for a week and note your eczema symptoms.

Then re-introduce that food into your diet and note your symptoms a few days afterward. Is there a connection? Then try this rotation again with another one of your favorite food until you see a pattern.

Over The Counter Eczema Treatment

We all know how difficult it is to follow any specific diet. And while it is important that you try to reduce your consumption of the specific foods that cause eczema symptom, you can help reduce eczema flare-ups, sooth your itching, burning skin, and heal damaged skin.

As a health advisor, I have researched hundreds of products and spoke with hundreds of eczema sufferers about their problems and results. I know how difficult it is finding that right product that really works. Thats why Im impressed with this all Natural Treatment for Eczema.

Basketball Equipment Reviews 0

Posted on September 02, 2009 by Lee Veldkamp

When training for basketball, making the most of when you train is important. There are supplies and equipment you can use to maximize your practices. Here are the top three basketball training supplies.

1. THE GUN: The Gun is priced at $4,500 dollars, but do not let that scare you. It is well worth the money you will spend on it. On top of that, it is not an individual person who would buy. You would buy it as a basketball program so that many people could use this amazing piece of equipment. What it does is catch every ball you shoot in a net, and then shoot the ball back out at you. It can also count the amount of shots you take and your percentage which is nice to know how much you are getting better.

It helped me out immensely. I went from a JV player who just took it to the hole and out muscle people one year, to one of the top shooting threats on varsity the next. One year not shooting wide open 3’s to taking contested 3’s. This piece allowed me to get off a couple hundred quality shots in a hour. It made me a much better player and nothing else out there can do what this machine can, so I would advice you to try to get one.

2. Jump Shoes: These will bring you to a new level of athleticism. You will be able to run faster, jump higher, and maybe even dunk the basketball. And not just dunk the basketball, but these shoes will give you a quicker jump. Being a slow jumper is horrible in the game of basketball. It is all about being able to get there first. You have to be like a cheetah and get up there right away and that is what these shoes will give you.

3. Tennis Ball: I know what you are thinking. Finally a cheap piece of equipment. Maybe even cheaper than a basketball net, but what could this be used for. To bring your ball handling to the next level. When ever you are doing a dribbling drill, use a tennis ball as well. Throw it up it the air and then snatch it out of the air while you are dribbling with your other hand. It is okay to switch hands or do whatever. Using the tennis ball makes you focus on something else, not just keep your eyes up. You all have worked on keeping your eyes up, but have you worked on doing more. When you play a game you have to be analyzing the court, and that is what the tennis ball will help you with.

Lastly, you will need a gym to go to and many basketballs to wear down to train properly.

Spectacular Views Await On The Bike Trails In Idaho 0

Posted on August 27, 2009 by Patricia J Walker
by Pat J Walker

The Idaho mountains are a wonderful place to go for a biking adventure, and with 19,000+ miles of trails to choose from, there are trails for beginners and experienced riders alike. The best time to bike in Idaho is during summer and fall, because the spring is too wet and muddy and the hard winters make biking nearly impossible. But it’s worth the wait until early summer because the views are fantastic and the trails are awesome.

The Mink Creek Recreation Area near Pocatello has an 11-mile loop called the Valve or Pump House trail. This is a great place for beginners to hone their skills. Theres nothing too technical here, but it will test your endurance. Bring plenty of water.

Elk Mountain near Stanley is a great ride and view of the Saw Tooth Mountains. It is a 12-mile loop that starts out with an easy climb and then rocky descent to Elk Meadows. There are a few stream crossings, but nothing too overtly difficult. Youll enjoy some great scenery all along the ride!

For more fantastic scenery, try the 12 miles of trail by McCall at Goose Creek Falls. This trail, too, involves crossing the creek a few times-via log crossings, on foot, or by bridge-but those are the only significant challenges, so it’s great for beginning riders. Camping is available nearby, too. But the biggest reward is the view of the 45-foot waterfall you’ll encounter on this route.

For an entire network of bike trails, check out the Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Most of the 25 miles of biking trails are more suited to advanced and intermediate riders here, though. The route includes bridges, turns, berms, and a steep, tricky descent.

Adventure lovers who can’t go fast enough will have a blast at the Bald Mountain Downhill Trail. Located not far from Ketchum, this is one huge hill with an increase in elevation measuring 3,000 to 4,000 feet. You can bike the entire 10-mile loop if you have the energy, but if you’re more into the descent and the race downhill, consider taking the chairlift to the top for just $15. Be careful of hikers and other bikers coming down, and make sure your bike has a full suspension for this trail. You’ll also want to have extra tubes and a repair kit in your backpack because you just might need them.

The Bear Pete trail near McCall is another burning-kick-in-the-seat-of-the-pants ride! It is approximately 19 miles, but you are rewarded with a hot springs resort at the end and a lot of gorgeous views along the way. The best time to go is in late summer or early fall, when its fairly dry. You will pass through a boggy area and during the wet season it could be practically impassable. Theres a pretty steep climb followed by a tricky descent, but once you get to the top you can see all the way to Oregon and the Saw Tooth Mountains!

Idaho is primarily mountainous, which means that for every mountain there is probably a valley and river, and maybe even a waterfall. This kind of environment is perfect for the adventurous rider. Enjoy this rugged state in all its natural beauty and have a spectacular time riding while you do!

Anxiety Panic Attack – What To Do When It Hits 0

Posted on August 26, 2009 by Albert Chinualumogu
by Ruth Pattison

There are nearly three million folk in the United States who are suffering from hysteria panic episodes. When someone is stressed, the normal reaction that follows is that of a sense of anxiousness, which can essentially be helpful occasionally. However, if an individual’s uneasiness becomes unduly frequent and uncontrollable, it has changed into a disorder. Panic attacks are the following step up from anxiousness. An anxiety panic attack occurs when someone experiences unexpected and overwhelming feelings of fear for no apparent reason. Symptoms include breathing problems, heart palpitations, quivering, chills, dizziness, and nausea.

An anxiety panic episode is more intense and the feelings experienced are seemingly more uncontrollable. For those that suffer at the hands of this disorder, there are several treatments available for you to use. These are some ideas on what to do when it strikes.

Cognitive behaviour therapy is typically recommended by consultants as a means of controlling tension panic episodes. Essentially, the patient is taught to perceive their nervous attacks in a different manner, which then enables the person to basically control the way he or she reacts to the environment. This therapy has worked for many people, but as with any medical treatment, no one thing works the same for every person. However, when it is in effect , the probabilities of anxiety panic episodes returning is extraordinarily low.

Another treatment option for people who suffer from foreboding panic episodes is desensitization. For those who experience intense fears and are bordering on fears, this temporary treatment option could work. By exposing the patient to their fear in little doses, he can at last become desensitized to the fear and manage it more effectively. The down side to this treatment option is that the chances of the anxiousness panic episodes returning are really high. The patient could develop a new fear to replace the old one or experience the old fear more intensely at another time.

Some individuals have also reported great success in handling their foreboding panic fits following treatments of ‘tapping’ or energy psychology. The surgeon applies pressure or performs a tapping motion to express pressure points on the body, which is alleged to relieve the sensation of anxiety. This thus reduces the likelihood of panic episodes from developing.

medicines are sometimes prescribed as an effective treatment option for anxiety panic attacks. Ask your consultant about the medications used to treat this challenging disorder.

Herbal remedies should not be discounted as a possible treatment for these attacks too. It is a natural approach to the issue, there are no complications to the mind or body, and the herbs used help to alleviate the symptoms associated with anxiousness panic attacks.

More immediate methods for handling an anxiety panic fit include respiring exercises, thinking positively through the assault, and not fighting the feelings of panic. Allow the feelings of fear and panic to go by respiring thru them and focusing on a separate object or person. Remember never to run away from your fear! It may only get worse if you do not confront it without delay. Remind yourself the attack will pass at some point. Also, as you learn how to manage your foreboding panic attacks properly, reward yourself for your accomplishments at the same time. So, understanding what you must do when a foreboding panic attack strikes lets you better manage and control the condition efficiently. .

What are Shingles? 0

Posted on August 26, 2009 by Barb Hicks
by Barb Hicks

Both chickenpox and Shingles are caused by the same virus; the VZV virus or varicella zoster virus. These diseases are characterized by the onset of what first looks like pimples surrounded by a red rash. These pimples then explode into seeping, fluid filled painful blisters. Shingles has been described as having an angrier version of the chickenpox.

It usually runs its course in approximately two weeks, during which the blister builds a crust then heals, sometimes leaving a scar. After the blister is crusted over, it is no longer contagious. However, a person who has never had chickenpox and is exposed to an active shingles infection runs the risk of getting chickenpox.

The VZV virus exists in a latent stage for years after a chickenpox event. Certain conditions and medications can reactivate the virus to return as shingles. It is a painful disease that often calls for medical attention to manage the pain and other symptoms. There are approximately one million cases of herpes zoster in the US per year.

For reasons not yet known to scientists, African Americans have shown a lower incidence of shingles than Caucasians.

Initially, the pain is the first inclination of a shingles attack due to damage to the nerve, and occurs in the area where the virus has been hibernating, but the rash may not yet have come to the skin’s surface. Other symptoms may include those resembling the flu, such as fever, chills, and headache.

The measurement of pain for shingles can be mild to severe. This pain is then followed by a rash that is typically slower to progress than chickenpox. The disease will generally appear on the abdomen or chest and generally only on one side. The rash will also follow a dermatomal pattern or pattern along the affected nerve.

There is a common complication of shingles or herpes zoster called PHN or postherpetic neuralgia, which is extremely painful and can last for many years. In addition, bacterial infections are common among those afflicted with shingles. That is why it is imperative that the blisters be kept clean.

As we age our immune system falters, thus making us vulnerable to zoster infections. In addition, it is not just the elderly at risk, anyone having HIV/AIDS, cancer or an organ transplant has a diminished immune system and is highly vulnerable. Anyone who has had chickenpox, including children has the potential for contracting shingles later on in life.

Laboratory tests will confirm a diagnosis of shingles as well as its common characteristics such as appearing on only one side of the body.

Treatment involves the use of medications such as antivirals, steroids, antiepileptic and antidepression meds, analgesics as well as skin lotions and creams to soothe painful blisters and sensitive skin areas.
